One of the most powerful aspects of any ministry event is the impact it has on the people who experience it. While the music and fellowship create unforgettable moments, it is often the personal stories that reveal how God is working behind the scenes.
The testimonies shared here reflect the heart of our mission: bringing people closer to Jesus Christ and creating opportunities for faith and community. From life-changing encounters with God to meaningful connections formed through praising His name, these stories serve as a reminder that God continues to move in extraordinary ways through ordinary people.
"We live in a divided and fast-changing world. Communities are increasingly disconnected, families are often fractured, and even the places that once united people, our churches, are often times equally divided.
Although I was unable to attend Jesus Jam last year, I hope to attend this year because of what it represents. In a world where communities, families, and even faith communities are fragmented, there are few opportunities for an entire region to gather around something so many still hold in common: Jesus Christ, our King and Savior.
I believe Jesus Jam also speaks to another need facing my generation: the need for genuine, personal connection in a digital age. Technology has made it possible to connect with people to the ends of the earth, but it has also disconnected us from the people closest to us, those who call this place home.
As a regular at Coffee on Third, I have come to appreciate the importance of these modern "third spaces" that bring people together. It has been a place where I have met new friends, shared conversations over coffee, and introduced people to one another. In a culture where we often miss the opportunity to encounter Christ in the person before us, places like these are the foundation to renewing our culture.
What does this have to do with Jesus Jam?
Jesus Jam speaks to that same need. It creates an opportunity for people from across Central Pennsylvania to gather together not around a screen or a political cause, but around the person of Jesus Christ. Most importantly, it is a chance to worship and praise our Lord, Jesus Christ, King of the Universe. Yet it is also a chance for neighbors to become friends, for churches to stand together on what they hold in common, and for a community to be reminded of what unites us.
I hope many people will come to Jesus Jam this year to praise the name of our Creator and to celebrate alongside the wonderful people who call Central Pennsylvania home. In a divided world, gatherings like this remind us that we belong not only to our communities, but to Christ our redeemer."
